Boost For Sarawak National-Type Chinese Schools

SIBU, Feb 27 (Bernama) -- The education ministry today announced a grant of RM1.57 million for the first nine national-type Chinese schools in critical need of repairs in the state.
Deputy minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said they were given priority, based on their condition.
"Some of them were built in 1920, and are in urgent need of reconstruction as they are no longer considered safe for the education process," he told a press conference here today.
